Frequently Asked Questions

Mobile Class is the online learning platform that houses all UI-ODeL online courses. Mobile Class allows professors and E-Tutors to make announcements, post assignments, create video conferencing rooms, and interact with students. Students will use Mobile Class to participate in online seminars/webinars, submit coursework, complete online tests, and interact with their classmates. Students must first register their courses on the portal to have access to Mobile Class.

Students can easily access the Mobile Class through the web (linked here: https://dlclms.ui.edu.ng), or through their smart telephony device (android: click here to download on android)

You can study from home, work, on your commute, or wherever suits you. All you’ll need is an internet-connected device and some time to concentrate on your studies.

Once you’ve registered your course for the session, you can download your course manual on the portal, and commence your self-study from anywhere.

You will also be having online course interactions on the Mobile Class LMS with your E-Tutors and fellow coursemates. We recommend that you participate in all your online course activities including course webinars, interactive videos, forum discussions, wikis, and smart quizzes to build learning. Your learning progress is displayed on your dashboard. Be sure to register for your course on the portal (https://dlcportal.ui.edu.ng) to access the course on the Mobile Class LMS web (https://dlclms.ui.edu.ng) or app (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=ui.dlc.mobileclass).

To round off the course, you are invited to an interactive session with the course facilitator who doubles as the course lecturer, for a revision session.

  • You will get a timeline of all your courses' activities with key dates on your Mobile Class dashboard.
  • Once you register, you’ll have access to the course website/webpage. On there, you’ll have a week-by-week study plan and assignment deadlines, so you can start to plan your studies.

  • You will asl get very important school/course key dates in your DLC dedicated email.

Your E-tutor will be the first person to contact if you’re concerned about keeping up with your studies. They’ll give subject-specific advice and additional support for general study skills and time management. If you need to talk through your study options, you can get in touch with your Student Support Team who’ll be on hand to offer you guidance.
